Caroline MA’s practice focuses on dispute resolution (including financial, insurance, contractual, equity, investment disputes etc.) and enforcement, bankruptcy and insolvency, general corporate and commercial. The number of dispute cases Caroline deals with per year could be over 100 in average, she is good at cases with complex legal relations and controversy. Caroline assisted several clients to win their case and get full discharge even though the debtors were struggling in crisis.

Caroline also provide variety financial institutions and well-known companies with enforcement services, while she provides full-aspects legal services to creditors, debtors and investors in bankruptcy and insolvency procedures.

Due to her abundant dispute resolution experience, Caroline is of keen insight for legal risk on corporate compliance. She assists clients in design and optimize compliance and risk management structure.

Dispute Resolution

Represented a company against CMIG in SPA dispute case when CMIG burst into crisis, and assisted client to win and get full discharged;
Represented a Trust company against a real estate development company and a HK listed company in financial service contracts with amount of claim of 450 million RMB;
Represent an equity investment fund in several disputes cases with regarding to obligation of propriety, tort, repurchase of pledged securities etc;
Represented a personal investor against a trust company and bank in Trust dispute before SHIAC and get favor result. Now represent the same investor to claim damage;
Represented a commercial factoring company in several factoring contract disputes with amount of claim of 100 million RMB;
Represent a PE fund against former senior management and another fund in invasion of trade secrets case;
Represented a FA against target company’s former shareholder in consultation contract dispute;
Represented several companies in AR collection cases;
Assisted client in a credit collection case with amount of claim of 600 million. Assisted client to negotiate with debtor and in getting mortgage security on his credit;
Assisted a production company deal with copyright dispute against a director.

Enforcement, Bankruptcy and Insolvency

Represented a finance lease company against Baodi in enforcement procedure. One of the debtors recently initiated bankruptcy and reorganization;
Provided legal services to investors in the bankruptcy and reorganization of GreenWheel Group;
Provide enforcement and bankruptcy related services to several financial institutions and well-known companies.

General corporate and Commercial

Advised an investment fund to purchase NPA and subsequent development of senior aging community;
Advised a US insurance company to develop high-end medical insurance product;
Advised an internet company to design and establish compliance, criminal risk control scheme;
Advised a financial group to design and establish compliance scheme with regards to his new internet financial services;
Advised a listed company to design and establish compliance, risk control scheme with regards to labor;
Developed an APP called- private legal risk with regards to wealth testing system - and won good feedback from clients.
