Kevin FENG is one of the most senior legal experts in hospitality and cultural tourism industries in China, with profound knowledge, skills and nearly 20 years’ experience crossing law and management. Before joining in AnJie Law Firm, Kevin has rich working experience in Shanghai Municipal People’s government, local law firm, Hong Kong law firm, after that he joined Howard Johnson International as Head of Legal, starting a journey of over 10 years in hospitality industry, followed as Director, Corporate Counsel in Intercontinental Hotel Group, Greater China, Senior Counsel (RVP band) in Hyatt Hotel Group, Greater China. Kevin is one of the several legal experts in China who dedicates career life in hospitality to support the life-cycle business of the hotels, he also works on FDI, M&A, IP, labour, Cyber Security and Date Compliance, Dispute Resolution, etc., Besides Hospitality, Travel, Leisure, and Tourism, he is also familiar with Hi-Tech, Internet, TMT, Culture, Education and Training industries, etc. with many well-established MNC clients and domestic entities.

  • Business modelling (Franchise, Management minus, Management), development tools and contract template drafting and determination for new brands of Huazhu Group. 
  • Successfully signed Hotel Management Agreements, Franchise Agreements, Renewal Agreements, JV Agreements respectively for over 400 Hotel projects in Greater China region, witnessed the development and grand opening of hundreds of well-known landmark or online celebrity hotels.  
  • Lead or support dozens of typical hotel risk management cases.
  • Lead or support over ten M&A projects of property, brand and construction, across Greater China, USA, Europe, and ASEAN countries.
  • Support the operation of several Hi-tech Development Zones, Economic Development Zones and Incubators, as well as the public fund support on R&D, VC/PE investment on startup hi-tech companies.
  • Support one major case in the history of PRC hospitability industry: Arbitration with Owner ‘allegation over RMB 150 million under Hotel Management Agreement and Operator’s professional liability insurance recovery.
  • Support the enforcement appeal in Beijing Intermediate Court, the People’s Higher Court of Beijing, the PRC Supreme Court for one Arbitration Awards with regard to Hotel Management Agreement dispute by CIETAC over USD 4.5 million.
