Dr. Zhan Hao Invited to Speak during ICC China Webinar
SAMR recently released the Antitrust Guideline on the Platform Economy (Draft for Comments) which provides more detailed regulations on the abuse of market dominance by operators in the platform economy, explains and enumerates different types of abusive behaviors, and puts forward detailed and specific guidance for preventing such monopolistic behaviors, improving anti-monopoly regulation in this area, and protecting fair competition in the market.
In response to the release, ICC China held a webinar and Dr. Zhan Hao, Vice Chairman of ICC China Competition Committee and Partner of AnJie Law Firm, was invited to speak at the webinar. During his remarks, Zhan Hao gave a detailed analysis of the platform economy. In particular, he covered three anti-monopoly regulation aspects: “anti-monopoly enforcement trends in the platform economy”, “increased anti-monopoly risks in the platform economy from the perspective of the Antitrust Guideline on the Platform Economy”, and “anti-monopoly risk prevention for Internet enterprises”. In light of this new regulatory environment and its inherent risks, Zhan also recommended corresponding risk prevention strategies.
